Mono Red

This deck is aimed more towards being fun to play then being competitive.  I enjoy playing this deck mostly for kitchen table magic, but with some cards changed around in it you can make it very competitive.  I have always liked playing red.  The bad part is that I can't play a red deck to save my life.  Hope you enjoy.

This deck is centered around beating your opponent before they can beat you.  The cards allowing you to do so are Vexing Devil, Ash Zealot and Boros Reckoner along with the burn spells.  Vexing Devil is the best one drop for this deck.  It allows you to deal four damage turn one or just have a 4/3 in play for one mana.  Ash Zealot helps with going on the offensive.  Being a two mana 2/2 is not bad, but throw haste and first strike onto it makes it an awesome two drop for the deck.  Also, Boros Reckoner is just awesome in this deck.  It always keeps your opponent on lockdown because if they do swing they are most likely going to take three damage to the face or are just going to lose one more of their creatures on top of the one they lost to the Boros Reckoner.  Overall, the deck is very easy to run.

The sideboard allows you to be a little more flexible with your play style.  By adding Blistercoil Weird, Thundermaw Hellkite and Faithless Looting it allows you to not only get card advantage, but to be able to go on the offensive and not worry about being left open for an attack.  Along with two copies of Harvest Pyre and one extra copy of Mizzium Mortar it allows you to have a finisher and an extra copy of a possible board wipe.  Overall the sideboard is built to help handle all kinds of different deck types.
