This particular build is a Blue/Red Artifact Aggro deck. The deck is primarily built around putting Ensoul Artifact on an artifact. Ideally the goal is to play a Darksteel Citadel, Ornithopter, and Springleaf Drum on the first turn. On the second turn, the ideal situation is to play an Island, and using that Island, the Ornithopter, and the Springleaf Drum, casting Ensoul Artifact on Darksteel Citadel, then attacking for five on turn two.

On other turns, Aqueous Form and Madcap Skills will be able to give an added boost. Other artifacts are included, like Astral Cornicopia (which can be cast for 0).
Other creatures in the deck can be used to for other aggressive purposes and the other spells provide support, from card draw to burn.
The sideboard was built for the purpose of converting to a control deck with cards like Cyclonic Rift, Dissipate, and Aetherspouts.

In theory, this deck should work because under the ideal circumstances, you could win the game by turn 4 (Turn 2 is five damage, then Madcap Skills on the 5/5, and then attack for 8 each of the next couple of turns). Combine Shrapnel Blast and Lightning Strike, and there will be plenty of damage to work in your favor.
take out glacial crusher put in goblin caboomist and use aetherspouts main board, btw i played a similar deck to this at fmn and ral zureck jace the guildpact and chandra pyromancer are great additions to the deck if you have them.
ReplyDeleteIf I were to take Glacial Crusher out, I'd replace it with Scuttling Doom Engine. Aetherspouts is a good card, but in a deck you could easily win with on turn 4, Aetherspouts really becomes unnecessary. It's in the sideboard for a reason as it will only be useful if you're playing against an aggro deck and/or token deck. Fireshrieker can go though, and probably an Elixir as well, but I'm not sold on Jace yet for this deck. I'd probably put in a Ral, one Chandra, and then a third Divination.
