Artist of the Week: Chase Stone

When choosing a new artist each week, I have to see who I've already featured and figure out popular artists or artists that illustrate popular cards. This is typically planeswalkers, dual lands, popular rares and mythics and we've gone through a lot of them, but not all of them.

Sorin, Lord of Innistrad  Tibalt, the Fiend-Blooded  Jace, the Living Guildpact

So you've seen the popular planeswalkers, but what else has Chase done for the world of Magic since the first card that appeared with his art: Chartooth Cougar in Duel Decks: Venser vs. Koth. It's since been reprinted in Conspiracy.

The next art was found a couple sets later in M13 which is Xathrid Gorgon and then Feast or Famine in Duel Decks: Izzet vs. Golgari.

Xathrid Gorgon  Feast or Famine

Chase's art picked up in the Return to Ravnica block with multiple cards, but I'll just give you a few.

Carnival Hellsteed  Experiment One  Zameck Guildmage
Master of Cruelties  Mirko Vosk, Mind Drinker  Plasm Capture

In M14, we got to see Chase's rendition of Slivers and a red sorcery.

Steelform Sliver  Seismic Stomp  Groundshaker Sliver

We got to see more art in Theros block too, including a VERY pricey and useful card. Once again, we're only showing a small selection.

Sylvan Caryatid  Flitterstep Eidolon  Extinguish All Hope

And moving on to M15!

In Garruk's Wake  Yisan, the Wanderer Bard

And we got even more when we reached Khans of Tarkir:

Singing Bell Strike  Hooded Hydra  Sage of the Inward Eye

Chase's art is definitely incredible and I personally look forward to his art in the future. Maybe some more planeswalkers or even some land in the future?
